(back) Subject: Is anyone building a residence organ in California? From: "Blaine Ricketts" <blaineri@home.com> Date: Thu, 12 Oct 2000 21:37:19 -0700   I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area and am curious if anyone is building a more or less classical organ under ranks? My wife practices on our three = rank M=F6ller Organ and it is very pleasant sound through out the house.   Blaine Ricketts Castro Valley, CA
(back) Subject: Re: Building My Own & needs pa... part 2 From: <TheGluePot@aol.com> Date: Fri, 13 Oct 2000 02:37:29 EDT   Hello again Jason:   I am in the San Francisco Bay Area on the left coast. That would be quite = a distance to go for a set of pipes, chests, a blower, or a console. Check with all of the local organ people in your area. Have a list of what components you need. Try to have the organ all designed so that you will = be looking for specifics. e.g. A set of Gemshorns on 3"WP. Pass by the set = on 12"WP. I know many people with garages (plural) full of organ items they will never be able to use. One guy has a Fanfare Trumpet on 35"WP that I know won't sound that good in his home installation.   Good luck,   Al Sefl
