There is no counter so >maybe all are waiting for the last minute?   Aware of it yes, but there is no PHOTO so how the heck does this seller expect anyone to bid a minimum of $500 on something sight unseen. The description also says it was made in 1932 and that it has the original leathers it claims are "tight," sorry, I don't buy that! I've seen many = organ leathers from that era and all of them were on their last legs. Shades "releathered" (huh??) in 1982, that was almost 20 years ago.   It also says; "Reredos stays here. You will need to build a new housing = for shades and pipes."   So it looks like all they are offering is the bare guts of 3 ranks, (not 3 =   Manuals), no casework of any kind.   Also note that the $500 min bid has red text next to it;   Current bid: $500.00 (reserve not yet met)   That means they stuck a minimum bid on it and that they also have a = reserve of an unknown amount, it could be quite higher.   The whole description is;   Built in 1932 Pressure: 7" Concert Flute, 85 notes Salicional, 85 notes Diapason, 85 notes One, 3 rank chest, 4 offset chests, 1 relay/switch = stack 2, 61 note manuals, 32 note pedalboard 2 6'high sets of shades releathered = in 1982 one small wurlitzer tremolo Spencer Blower, 350 CFM at 7" pressure DC =   power, Orgelectra All equipment in excellent, late model, original = condition. Interior leather is original but remains tough and functions well. Still plays on Sundays at St. Peter's in South Windsor, CT 06074. Reredos stays here. You will need to build a new housing for shades and pipes. Come and hear it. Come and get it. =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D     Let someone else hear it and go get it :)   Randall http://members.aol.com/mpmollerorgan/
(back) Subject: Chests, console and blower available NOW! From: "The Schneider Family" <arpschneider@starband.net> Date: Fri, 26 Oct 2001 09:43:07 -0500   Dear listers,   I write this in haste, as I prepare to leave to travel to a church near here which is in the process of removing a "Heinz 57" assemblage of organ parts. Sad to say: the church is replacing it with a pipeless substitute.   However, what this means for those of you who love the adventure of the hunt for scrounging organ parts for free (or nearly so!) is that if you and your friends mount your steeds (read: get into a couple of pickup trucks) and head to Morton, IL, there will be the following items available to first-come, first-served:   A) Spencer blower (currently size and W.P. unknown, but I think I understand it's 1/2 HP)   B) II Manual quarter-sawn white oak console (needing new internals)   C) 2 Hinners ventil chests (one six stop and the other a 4 stop). These can be converted to Electro-Mechanical action by mounting Peterson or Reisner magnets underneath the Toeboards. Or, they could be re-leathered.   Since tomorrow is Saturday, this would be a splendid opportunity for someone(s) within driving distance of central Illinois to get those parts you've all been looking for the right opportunity for.   I know little about this, nor are we "brokering" this material, but wanted to make its availability known before any of this winds-up in a Dumpster (expected to happen after this weekend!)   Sorry for the short notice, but short is better than none. Hopefully, after today, I can give a little more details about who/how to contact and particulars about the blower, etc.   Faithfully, Richard Schneider, PRES/CEO SCHNEIDER PIPE ORGANS, Inc.
