I was trying to help him with a = set of original blue prints I acquired with the RJ-8 I'm installing in my = home. It may be late but you never know. The interments are rare enough that another resource would benefit both of us. Hal

Perhaps someone else =   might know David's whereabouts. It seems unlikely he would just disappear =   with such a project in the works. Hal
(back) Subject: Measuring mouth height or cutup of Gedackt From: "Eric Sagmuller" <ess4@psu.edu> Date: Thu, 14 Feb 2002 12:36:32 -0500   Normally measuring the cutup of a metal pipe is straightforward enough. = But on my Gedackt pipes from Tenor C on up, the Languid protrudes above the = low lip. As the Languid has no bevel and rises straight up behind the windway, =   does one still measure between the lower and upper lip, or between the top =   of the Languid and the upper lip?   Anyone insight is appreciated!   Thanks, Eric

Measuring mouth height or cutup of Gedackt From: <TheGluePot@aol.com> Date: Thu, 14 Feb 2002 23:23:33 EST   Sorry for some reason the text did not transmit with the last posting.   Mouth height is measured from the lower lip to the upper lip. Languids = with a vertical edge above the lower lip are not included in the calculations = but do effect the wave motion of the windsheet so that the pipe operates as if = it had a slightly lower cutup.   Best to the list,   Al Sefl
