When I started taking care of the organ, I noticed the shades would occasionally stutter open/closed by themselves. After checking to be sure nothing odd was happening with the pedals, I called Peterson and found it's a known problem with the Rodgers/Peterson combination. The fix is simple (a capacitor or two on the receiving side, IIRC).   Just passing this along in case someone else happens to have this particular combination.   Mike
