My grocery list was supposed to be sent only to John and Pat. However, since everyone now knows what I'm looking for, let's inventory = what we want to move out of the shop/basement/garage/former living room in this round of spring cleaning. All offers will be considered.   Sincerely, Christopher Sabatowich   ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher Sabatowich" <c.sabatowich@sthedwigchurch.zzn.com> To: "Residence Organ List" <DIYAPASON-L@pipechat.org> Sent: Thursday, March 14, 2002 7:15 PM Subject: Re: [Residence Organs] Pipe Organ Parts for sale     > John and Pat Ball, > I'm looking for a 4' Dulciana (73 pipes) and a 8' Oboe (73 notes). = I > have an octave of Haskelled 8' Aeoline basses for the Dulciana to make = an 8' > stop out of the set. I am hoping to sell the entire collection in one lot and someone is coming to look next week. However, if things do not work out then I (or the buyer) may sell a few individual parts. Here are the answers to your questions.   I did not record the scales when I packed these pipes and they are stacked too high for me to look until I get some labor and space. My perception = is that they are reasonable scaled, not tubby or too thin. I will place very reasonable prices on parts if I have to divide the collection. I do not have any windchests except for some 16' offsets. I have lots of DE = valves. I have four sets of chimes, two with actions. I don't have a good idea of the used prices. I'll wait on estimating crating to Detriot until I have = a better idea of the disposition of the entire lot. I'll keep your request and get back to you. (back) Subject: Pipe Organ Parts for sale From: "John & Pat Ball" <johnrball@erols.com> Date: Fri, 15 Mar 2002 17:10:44 -0500   Dear List Members, Iappologize to the list members. I didn't notice that I used the wrong return address for some private replies.   Here are a few corrections to the original list:   1) H&H 2' Trumpet should be 4' Trumpet. 2) H&H 8' Trumpet was labled 16' on the console. I would have to locate = the shallots to tell if it was TC or not. 3) Stratton 8' Diapason low CCC has a broken (reparable) foot. 4) I think that 2 pipes from one of the slender strings are mitered at a funny angle and one is broken (needs resoldering). 4) Ron Hodges Cornet has a few squashed pipes. I repaired one pipe to = sound like new so they are all reparable with a bit of work. I thought that the rank was worth getting in spite of those pipes at the time I got it. 5) Many of the large woods may require new leather pads ( or severe reconditioning) on the stoppers from old age. 6) Add a large quantity of leather pallets for 16' and offset pipes = (useful when making new chests).   Regards, John Ball
