(back) Subject: releathering Reisner DVAs From: "Olliff Weldon" <firstname.lastname@example.org> Date: Mon, 4 Nov 2002 19:58:34 -0500 I have a number of DVAs I want to releather. What type of glue was used initially to glue the pouch to the potmetal casting and what is the best way to remove the gasket ring and old leather residue? Does anyone have a special technique for gluing and reseating the new pouch? Thanks for any suggestions. Olliff Weldon
(back) Subject: New Room almost complete From: "John Haskey" <email@example.com> Date: Mon, 4 Nov 2002 16:56:50 -0800 (PST) Greetings... Some months back I mentioned that we had started construction on a new addition to the house specifically for the planned pipe organ. Well it's almost done and boy does it echo! Hopefully it will tone down a bit as we add stuff to the room. In the past I've heard terms like 'slap echo' and wonder exactly what that is and how it sounds versus a normal echo. How much echo is too much? Are there any simple audio tests I can do in there to determine the characteristics of the room? I promised a web site detailing construction of the room. I still plan to do that, I took several hundred pictures (digital camera) so there is plenty of fodder for the site. Just a little matter of time. And now I'm getting excited about being able to set up and listen to some pipes. Too bad I have to work for a living... ---john.

They have the correct jigs and techniques. Any attempt on a DIY will fail miserably.
