(back) Subject: Re: [Residence Organs] Phase Converters From: <Pipewheezr@aol.com> Date: Tue, 26 Aug 2003 10:55:33 EDT   Hi all. My blower is 5hp but single phase. Buuuuuut in my shop I use a Roto Phaze. = I use it to start machines, like the box phase converters. To grind crank = shafts 1 start the Roro-Phaze then the 5hp grinding wheel motor then shut off the =   Roto-Phaze. Then start the other motors on the grinder. The grinding wheel = motor generates enough juice to start smaller motors on other machines. And they = do not get to hot. I have stalled the grinding wheel ounce ( thinking about = what the next thing to do on the organ) hmmmmm. I never hit the stop button so fast! Nothing was damaged, nerves? The motor runs a little warmer but has = a direct load on it while you are grinding. When the blower runs it is = pushing air but it can over heat by having to push to hard. Now that you are a sleep I will go to work.   Dennis
