(back) Subject: YAPPI - MIDI and Pipe Organs From: "John Haskey" <johnh@haskey.net> Date: Thu, 27 Feb 2003 13:47:20 -0800 (PST)     A week or two back I posted a note to the list entitled 'Interim Progress Report' or some-such referring to my website which introduced my first residence organ ( http://www.haskey.com/johnh/organ/opus_1/Opus_1.html ). On that page there is a photo and brief note about the MIDI pipe driver boards I'm using.   The designer of those boards, Craig Williams, has written an explanation of the board's operation and I have posted that information to my website at http://www.haskey.com/yappi and I would encourage you to take a look if you are at all interested in MIDI and organ pipes.   Craig's system has some interesting and (at least to me) novel ideas on how to approach the 'problem' of integrating MIDI with a pipe organ. We also hope to post a description of a 'complete' system in the near future.   Now I'm sure someone will ask "Are the boards available and at what cost?" Craig intends to make the design/boards available but the details have not yet been worked out.   I will try to answer any questions either privately or on the list (if there is interest) and Craig can be contacted via email at YAPPImail@yahoo.com.   YAPPI of course is an acronym for Yet Another Pipe Playing Interface.   ---john.
