(back) Subject: Re: Organ parts available From: <Jess4203@aol.com> Date: Tue, 13 May 2003 22:08:43 EDT --part1_c5.3409a64d.2bf2ff2b_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset=3D"US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Listers, I was contacted again by the people from whom I got the nucleus of my = planned II/8 installation. They have sold their deceased organ-builder = Dad's home and most of the organ stuff has already been sold, but I was asked to = come and get several ranks (which I can use or place) and some other = parts. Since this builder/technician was into servicing organs, there will be a quantity of old electromechanical action parts, many of which I can't use. = There are also some things I would prefer not to lug home, or would lug = home if I had a promise for someone to come and get them within 30 days. There is an old (Spencer?) motor that is huge and probably three = phase, and the rest of the blower is there, but separated from the motor at = present. I don't want to cart this . . . would any one be interested in picking it = up near Liberty, Tennessee this weekend? That's near Smithville, which is = about a half hour south of Cookville. There are two pittman chests, 7.5x3 foot, = one a six ranker and one a seven. I believe these were releathered before = they were mounted in place to receive pipes, which was done about fifteen years ago . . . but the organ builder got ailing and never did finish the installation . . . all the pipework is long gone, but the chest remain. There is also a very nice, but different organ bench with a back and an adjustable height feature for someone who needs back support. This last would be a make offer item. You can see these items at <A = HREF=3D"www.earthretreat.com/organparts"> www.earthretreat.com/organparts and you could pick up this weekend or = arrange with me to pick up (I think) the bench or the chest and cart them to Knoxville if you can get here in the next thirty days. The Doppelflute on = the website is mine, though, guys, hands off!! There may be a set of keys or two and a console shell or two still = there also. If you have any interest, let me know and I can probably call you = on Saturday from the site if you could arrange to come on Saturday or Sunday = or if I can cart what you want to Knoxville. I am not quite sure how big a truck we will have, but do email me or the earthretreat people if you have = an interest in something. I think everything will be either "take away free" = or minimal prices, as everything has to be gone by the end of the weekend. As far as little parts, I do plan to inventory stuff when I get time, = in a few weeks and I should be posting again at that point. I know there are = some stop tabs and stop knobs of generic vintage and some contacts and springs, etc., of various sorts. I hope I'l be able to post some pictures = at some point . . . Best Regards, Roy Kersey --part1_c5.3409a64d.2bf2ff2b_boundary Content-Type: text/html; charset=3D"US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
<FONT SIZE=3D3D2 = FAMILY=3D3D"SANSSERIF" FACE=3D =3D3D"Arial" LANG=3D3D"0">Hi Listers,

I was contacted again by the people from whom I = got=3D the nucleus of my planned II/8 installation. They have sold their = dec=3D eased organ-builder Dad's home and most of the organ stuff has already = been=3D20=3D sold, but I was asked to come and get several ranks (which I can use or = plac=3D e) and some other parts. Since this builder/technician was into = servic=3D ing organs, there will be a quantity of old electromechanical action = parts,=3D20=3D many of which I can't use. There are also some things I would prefer = n=3D ot to lug home, or would lug home if I had a promise for someone to come = and=3D get them within 30 days.

There is an old (Spencer?) motor that is huge and = p=3D robably three phase, and the rest of the blower is there, but separated = from=3D the motor at present. I don't want to cart this . . . would any one = b=3D e interested in picking it up near Liberty, Tennessee this weekend? Th=3D at's near Smithville, which is about a half hour south of Cookville. = T=3D here are two pittman chests, 7.5x3 foot, one a six ranker and one a = seven.&n=3D bsp; I believe these were releathered before they were mounted in place to = r=3D eceive pipes, which was done about fifteen years ago . . . but the organ = bui=3D lder got ailing and never did finish the installation . . . all the = pipework=3D is long gone, but the chest remain. There is also a very nice, but = di=3D fferent organ bench with a back and an adjustable height feature for = someone=3D who needs back support. This last would be a make offer item. = Y=3D ou can see these items at <A = HREF=3D3D"www.earthretreat.com/organparts">www.ea=3D rthretreat.com/organparts and you could pick up this weekend or = arrange=3D20=3D with me to pick up (I think) the bench or the chest and cart them to = Knoxvil=3D le if you can get here in the next thirty days. The Doppelflute on = the=3D website is mine, though, guys, hands off!!

There may be a set of keys or two and a console = she=3D ll or two still there also. If you have any interest, let me know = and=3D20=3D I can probably call you on Saturday from the site if you could arrange to = co=3D me on Saturday or Sunday or if I can cart what you want to = Knoxville. =3D20=3D I am not quite sure how big a truck we will have, but do email me or the = ear=3D thretreat people if you have an interest in something. I think = everyth=3D ing will be either "take away free" or minimal prices, as everything has = to=3D20=3D be gone by the end of the weekend.

As far as little parts, I do plan to inventory = stuf=3D f when I get time, in a few weeks and I should be posting again at that = poin=3D t. I know there are some stop tabs and stop knobs of generic vintage = a=3D nd some contacts and springs, etc., of various sorts. I hope I'l be = ab=3D le to post some pictures at some point . . .

Best Regards,
Roy Kersey
   --part1_c5.3409a64d.2bf2ff2b_boundary--
