(back) Subject: MIDI From: <> Date: Thu, 02 Oct 2003 01:01:27 +0000   Another good MIDI Do-it-yourself site is = (J. D. Petkov designs)   Regarding solid state relays, I was really impressed with the Opus two, = especially the "Starter System" for less than $500.00. Descriptions were = clear, prices good as were the pictures.   My current project is converting an organ roll player to read rolls = optically(Kimbal) and convert to MIDI files which will be saved to floppy = discs. The outputs, before scanning and converting, can also play my very = small pipe organ and the MIDI files will play my Roland D110 synthesizers. = Somewhere in there will be a rudimentary solid state relay. The MIDI files = could also play the pipe organ (MIDI to parallel boards) without firing up = the roll player. That all somehow seems to be going around in a big circle = but it's fun.   John Adams
