(back) Subject: MIDI controllers From: "Mickey Sadler" <mickeysadler@wowway.com> Date: Tue, 30 Sep 2003 20:17:16 -0700   Hi All,   I may have mentioned this before, but there are new list members. For those who like electronics DIY, check http://www.ucapps.de/ for a DIY MIDI controller. The MIDIO128 will handle 128 inputs and outputs, and with the new MBHP and MIOS operating system, you can have several core boards with 128 input/outputs each. The schematics, board layouts and software are all available for download, and PC boards are available. You will have to do a bit of programming to set up the software to fit your particular options. Most of it is modification of the existing software. A lot of the projects are for synth controllers, but that is just what the particular people are working with. There is at least one person adding MIDI to a pipe organ, and another a band organ. See the Forums for a lot of questions and answers. The MIOS is released under the GNU GPL, and the only stipulation is that it is non-commercial. You can't build and sell them.   Later,   Mickey ---- Mickey E. Sadler Dublin, Ohio
