(back) Subject: Progress (Regress?) From: "W. D. Heimer" <dheimer@sensible.net> Date: Thu, 27 May 2004 12:26:44 -0400   Yo' List, After having a 100% working organ for the past coupla years, for some = strange reason I started to rip things out and move 'em around a bit. = The project started out with the construction of a garden shed, and = relocating a 13KW generator, 80 gal air compressor and a 60 gallon water = tank with all their attendant wiring and plumbing from the cellar to the = aforementioned shed.   Last weekend I moved the ~50 note Schlicker bass offset chest and pipes = into the positions left vacant by the equipment exiled to the shed.   Last night I moved six rank Wicks chest into former bass offset area. = This chest will replace 1920's vintage Estey chest that is beginning to = show its age. Estey built a good chest, but they are pure hell to = repair in position. After squeezing the Wicks chest into a rather tite = position (had to move a support post). I had to ask myself if perhaps = watch repair would be a much better choice of hobbies.   The question I have for y'all is, I have to build a junction board and = connect the Wicks cotter pins to the ferules, which in turn will connect = to the Peterson relay. How does one solder/connect a wire to the = ferules, and suggustions for juncion board design ?   Happy Organating, Dave = Heimer   Dave & Margie Heimer 2160 Armor Bridge Road Greensboro, Georgia 30542 706-467-3926 Phone dheimer@sensible.net Email www.heimer.siteblast.com Website
