(back) Subject: Re: Anyone interested in a FAQ list? From: cremona84000@webtv.net (bruce cornely) Date: Wed, 27 Aug 1997 23:35:59 -0400   I think it is a very good idea, especially if it could be accessed from a place where some unsuspecting person might stumble upon it and get interested in pipe organs. It is such a good idea that it could probably get out of hand and create a lot of work for you (hehehehehehe)   Bruce Cornely ============ o o o o ============== o o o ______________ o o o o o o ______________ o o o OHS ======================== AGO

(back) Subject: Altar calls / organs playing quietly From: David Neal <david@neal.u-net.com> Date: Thu, 28 Aug 1997 07:31:56 +0100   All this talk of alter calls. et cetera, brings to mind probably the 'original' organist to do this, Paul Mickelson, who played for the Billy Graham teams for many years. I have a friend who models his piano playing on their pianist Tedd Smith, and he has many recordings of him.   Did Paul Mickelson make many recordings (as opposed to being part of a recording of Billy Graham crusade?) I have 'Paul Mickelson plays for youth', but would like to hear more of that kind of playing of that kind of music.   BTW, what do we call that kind of music? Obviously the term 'Gospel' refers to something slightly different.   Regards,   David N.   =============================================================== David J Neal, Wrexham, Wales, UK home: david@neal.u-net.com work: dneal@yale.ac.uk ===============================================================
