(back) Subject: Marbles are beginning to slowly come back! From: Bob Conway <email@example.com> Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 05:11:00 -0400 Dear PipeChat-l members, I must thank you all, (and especially Will Scarboro, for letting the list know), for all your kind messages to me. I am beginning to see some improvement, slowly, but surely. I have now found out the hard way that the aftermath of a heart attack is that even simple tasks become slow and laborious. But I can begin to look in on the List, rather than be a very active participant, - but not for long, I hope. I have also found out that the world around us is very different from the wheelchair than from standing up! Stores should remember that those in wheelchairs are half the height of those who are not! I have had to resign from any active radio work, as I am not allowed to drive my car, and, in any case, I do not seem to be able to think up programmes for the time being. I was going to produce one on the Municipal Organ concert that Will Scarboro presented, and another on pipeless organs, but both will have to be put on the back burner until after Christmas when I hope to be active again at CFRC-FM. Is one's heart an organ? If so, this post is to some extent on topic! Thank you all once again for your good wishes, I shall be with you "lurking", if not too active a List Member. (back) Subject: RHYTHM UNITS From: <ORGANUT@aol.com> Date: Thu, 20 Aug 1998 12:42:51 EDT Help,(Needing to tap on that vast storehouse of knowledge out there) I am trying to get the names of any sources which manufacture the percussion rhythm drive units for real traps and percussions. A number of Theatre Organs are equipped with electronic percussion rhythm units whose output can be wired to the chest magnet drivers on different trap and percussion units. I would like to add this capability to my WurliTzer. Any help from the list would be appreciated. Organut

(back) Subject: Hamtech From: Cliff Benham <email@example.com> Date: Fri, 21 Aug 1998 00:23:09 -0400 Anyone know what's become of Hamtech? It's vanished, and *noone* has said even a word. The last post I saw was Tuesday night. I hope it's not impolite to ask about *another* list on this list;--I guess I'll find out. Thanks
