(back) Subject: Off topic - A solution to those annoying off topic postings ( and a question - on topic) From: Nelson and Tracy Denton <ndenton434@bigwave.ca> Date: Sun, 05 Jul 1998 00:51:30 -0400   A reminder to all those who wish to post comments regarding off topic -topics and for those who like to flame each other and the rest of the world. There is a place for you to post your messages and have fun without offending everyone else on the main lists. The Sforzando E-mail list http://onelist.com/subscribe.cgi/sforzando This list is for any topic or comments you wish to make about anything. The only rules are - well there arn't any. EXCEPT THIS ONE - NO POSTING OF MESSAGES OR TOPICS BEST SERVED BY ANOTHER E-MAIL LIST. And NO FLAMING BY NAME OF THOSE NOT ON THE SFORZANDO LIST. Beyond that anything goes.   P.S.   To make this message topical I have a question. Organ Builders never seem to get any respect. I think it's because we have no "TITLE" we are "Organ Builders" or worse "the organ tuners" All the good titles are taken such as Organist, Organizer, Organic, Organism, Organza, Orgy Orgami.   Maybe we need a new name for our trade and some doctorates. so we can get some respect and charge what we are worth.   How about. . .   Electro-pnuematechs? Pneumoclavier technologists? Bachelor of Tracker-ology Master of Pneumo-Klavier-Electrology Doctorate of Electro-Mechanical Audiology?
