That's where he learned his love for the pipe organ and for beagles. He was trained by a beagle duet to take over and become a world-class organist and skeet-shooter - they would wheel him out playing a Wurlitzer equipped with pipes that blew smoke and shot fireworks, and he would play a few bars, then raise his rifle and shoot skeet out of the sky. It was hair-raising! Bruce also learned to tap dance at the organ, no small feat/feet!   Bruce may still have his old circus tuxedo - don't you, Bruce?   Glenda Sutton

(back) Subject: X Posted Barron Smith TO Recording From: DM726@delphi.com Date: Fri, 20 Mar 1998 16:16:24 -0500 (EST)   Hello all,   I have been going through my old TO recordings and taping them for replay at work while I am typing away on the computer.   Today I have found a recording by Barron Smith, playing selections mostly by Offenbach with some other musical overtures.   The title of the album is Breaking The Sound Barrier Vol. II on Urania records. It says he is playing a Wurlitzer Theatre Organ, but not which one or where it is.   Anyone aware of this recording that might know where it was recorded?   TIA   Dave McPeak

(back) Subject: More about Nebraska Schoenstein From: mewzishn@spec.net Date: Fri, 20 Mar 1998 23:24:14 +0000   It appears that I'm psychic. Lou Hurst, the webmaster for the 1st Plymouth church Schoenstein project, wrote to ask me how I knew that Tom Murray was going to play that instrument! I have to admit that what really happened was that Tom Murray's name was the one that came to my mind while reviewing details of the instrument as being a most ideal candidate to perform on it, and put it through its paces.   Do check the site again -- http://www.binary.net/lchurst/organs.htm -- as I've been told the site is to be updated over the weekend.   Lou Hurst is to be congratulated for his great work documenting this project!   Ken Sybesma
