(back) Subject: Re: BUD From: Bud <budchris@earthlink.net> Date: Thu, 29 Oct 1998 18:46:38 -0800   Ok, here goes:   The Principals are very, VERY mild and VERY broad-scale, and MUCH too soft for the rest of the voices.   The Strings are loud and scratchy ... reminds me of a '20s Estey.   The one sampled flute is big and hooty and pretty useful.   The Trumpet is quite decent, as is the Oboe, but they both sound more like harmonium stops than sampled "pipe" voices.   The drawbars are not at ALL like the old B-3s, etc. ... the 8 and 4 are probably the nicest sound on the organ.   That help?   Regards,   Bud   Bob Scarborough wrote:   > At 04:13 PM 10/29/98 -0800, Bud wrote: > It was necessary to point out to them that (1) our digital > >Hammond/Suzuki Model 825 (EEEWWW!!!) has a very primitive system<snip> > > We over on the HamTech list want to know about your older 825. (back) Subject: Re: BUD From: Bud <budchris@earthlink.net> Date: Thu, 29 Oct 1998 18:48:13 -0800   OOPPSS!   PS - are there any VOICING controls? We found a couple of LEVEL controls, and turned up the very weak Pedal 16', but can we do anything else? We're in the process of adding a Leslie 715 (couldn't afford a new 716) to the beast.   Thanks!   Bud   Bob Scarborough wrote:   > At 04:13 PM 10/29/98 -0800, Bud wrote: > It was necessary to point out to them that (1) our digital > >Hammond/Suzuki Model 825 (EEEWWW!!!) has a very primitive system<snip> > > We over on the HamTech list want to know about your older 825. (No, NOT Mt. OliveT!!). Cantor: Mark Sedio.   I've heard him do two services in NYC this past summer with no choir. (back) Subject: Something to do on a rainy day. _Browse webpage links - A Halloween Trick or Treat From: Nelson and Tracy Denton <ndenton434@bigwave.ca> Date: Fri, 30 Oct 1998 12:04:59 -0500   Hi all it's been a while since I last wrote. I've got a bunch of links (100+) listed below to organ sites etc., that i've cut ( chopped ) from e-mails. I've not had a chance to search through them so I don't know what they all contain or if they all work. If you have nothing better to do why not browse through them. (my Treat)   I've deleted all references to what they contain so you will be more tempted to take a look and see. +(:-P) ( my Trick) I can also read and use any Netscape "Bookmarks" or Explorer "Favourites" files you might wish to send DIRECTLY TO ME as an attachment to an e-mail. This helps me greatly in making my webpages. (I've added a few more recently).   PLEASE DO NOT SEND ATTACHMENTS TO THE LISTS!! This will only upset the servers and your fellow list members who can't always read "html" files. Enjoy and feel free to post your own links to "The Pipe Organ Tracker Project". http://www.freeyellow.com/members/radentonson mailto:ndenton434@bigwave.ca   Happy Halloween All.   Nelson.   %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% http://www.rom.net/musicom http://www.continuo.com/kipnis/ikipnis.html http://www.hooked.net/~flubble/merry_christmas/ http://www.lowrey.com http://chambermusic.com/this_site/aboutus/ http://theatreorgans.com/arp/ http://www.pstos.org/features/restorat.htm http://www.pipechat.org http://www.geocities.com/Eureka/2437/gb.html http://home.earthlink.net/~fulc/ http://members.aol.com/Linnstaedt/mh1872.html http://www.sionsoft.com. http://www.bluenote.co.uk http://www.aristotle.net/~crazymidiman/my01012.html http://members.aol.com/crakich http://saec.arn.net/organ.html http://www.sibelius.com http://www.gvox.com/ http://www.organman.com http://www.orgel.com/vlm/f1-e.html http://members.aol.com/Linnstaedt/index.html http://130.89.221.221/vdheuvel/Katarina.htm http://www.austinorg.com http://shift.merriweb.com.au/harmonium/ http://www.ntic.qc.ca/~guil-the/ http://saglac.qc.ca/~acote/welcome.html http://www.orgalt.com http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Strasse/7575 http://www.casavant.ca http://members.aol.com/theorganst/Page1.html http://www.pandk.com http://members.bellatlantic.net/~dettra http://www.orgelbau.vol.at/ http://www.nzorgan.com http://www.orgelbau.vol.at/ http://www.nzorgan.com http://www.nzsme.org.nz http://www.southern.co.nz/~setchell/martin.htm http://38.241.170.18/crpc/organ.htm http://38.241.170.18/crpc/organjob.htm http://webeye.ophth.uiowa.edu/atos/history/hist2.htm http://www.francetelecom.com/mporgues/ http://www.total.net/~dungreen http://www.mrc-bsu.cam.ac.uk/ROS/ http://www.bbcanada.com/bb_show_web_page.cfm?htmlnum=590 http://www.desertsoft.net/organchat http://www.neal.u-net.com/cnewoca/index.htm http://panther.bsc.edu/~jhcook/OrgHist/welcome.htm http://www.choralnet.org/web2lists.htm http://www.bright.net/~allmax/index.htm http://www.bright.net/~allmax/ http://albany.edu/~piporg-l/pipguide.html http://www.stellar1.com/personal/middelschulte/ http://www.ntic.qc.ca/~guil-the http://thelutheran.org/9709/page26.html http://www.organisten.de/oberlinger/e-hausorgeln.html http://theatreorgans.com/tolist.htm http://www.onelist.com/subscribe-cgi/musiclassical http://www.u.arizona.edu/~rcampbel/dgroups.html http://www.MusicHouse.org http://www.pldi.net/~murrows/rcmindex.htm http://www.willis-organs.demon.co.uk/ http://1212.com/musical/manufuk/org/home.html http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/park/yck44 http://members.aol.com/reedstop/holycr/orgpics.html http://www.riograndewoodworks.com/organs http://www.tneorg.com/wanamaker/ . http://mycdstore.com http://members.theglobe.com/c_daniel/ http://members.theglobe.com/c_daniel/sitemap.html http://www.paraclete-press.com/ http://www.rscm.u-net.com http://freespace.virgin.net/tony.whatmough http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ranch/6434/ http://home1.swipnet.se/~w-13371/ http://www.creswell.co.uk/goetzegwynn/ http://www.francetelecom.com/sulpice/ http://www.eskimo.com/~sfox/seaorgan.htm http://www.eskimo.com/~sfox/europe.htm# http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=35832730 http://www.stops.org http://webeye.ophth.uiowa.edu/atos/ http://www.theatreorgans.com/ http://home.planetinternet.be/~joachimb/lefhome.html http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Strasse/8779/index.html http://www.musicmusic-andwords.com http://perso.wanadoo.fr/christian.ohn/ http://www.organsociety.org http://www.sover.net/~popel http://www.chinfo.navy.mil/navpalib/questions/eternal.html http://www.caiw.nl/~havo/nl_home.htm http://huizen.daxis.nl/ppaardekam/ http://www.infoplaza.nl/draaiorgels/ http://home.worldonline.nl/~marenghi/ http://www.pluer.nl/index.htm http://www.psy.vu.nl/homes/johan/orgels/orgels.nl.html http://www.gnn-nl.demon.nl/multimedia/draaiorgel/ http://www.nbt-holland.or.jp/sound-organ.html http://www.mediaal.nl/koopvideo/22_54.htm#orgelsopwielen http://ping4.ping.be/logos/barrelorgan.html http://www.cybercomm.nl/~discus/english/links.html http://mmd.foxtail.com/Archives/KWIC/D/dutch.html http://web.cnam.fr/museum/musica_mecanica/a/musee/hollande/index.html http://uc2.unicall.be/vlefevere/index.htm http://www.xs4all.nl/~betlehem/gnd.html http://www.kerknet.smra.nl/~carla/infohtml/gebouw.html http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/ESV/index.html http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Strasse/8779/index.html http://home.wxs.nl/~bovenkerk/ http://www.qstone.nl/orgelland/ http://www.gironet.nl/home/tvroon/stbehorg.html http://www.interlog.com/~goberorg http://www.interlog.com/~transfig/trans.htm http://www.netrover.com/~noto/gober/~noto.html http://www.acchos.org http://www.jps.net/rrloesch http://www/pels.be   Nelson E. I'm just investigating them...seems they make good practice organs!   DeserTBoB
