In all probability it is nothing too serious, and my advice is to get in a competent organ builder (this generally means expensive an expensive one -- the fly-by-night ones are cheap) and ask for a professional opinion.   John.

We now have the Kilgen from that school in our church, Trinity Pres in Dallas. Thanks, Danny Ray

I've just been ousted from my position as "permanent substitute" organist in my church. The "official organist" is not an organist at all, but one who plays only the GREAT and has no knowledge of pedaling or registration (he does well at what he is able to do). The new member of the congregation replacing me does have some ability, although she is a bit of a swell pedal pumper, she will do a fairly good job (better than that of the official organist). Now that I'm 18 and have served my church in this and choral accompanist capacities for over 4 years, I'm now out looking for a better paying organist/accompanist job (one that pays more than $0 [nothing]). As soon as another takes my choir responsibilities, I hope to be furthering my musical/organ education in another church with a better organ and music program. **If anyone knows of any such positions available in the North Olympic Peninsula, Washington area, please contact me.** But enough of my sour grapes and rambling on.
