(back) Subject: Ssh, question about a Baldwin electronic From: "Charles E. Peery" <cpeery19@idt.net> Date: Sun, 19 Dec 1999 06:54:20 -0400   Friends,   Sorry to bother "Pipe" chat when there are no pipes...   There's an old Baldwin electronic in the chapel of my new church. It's = got thumb pistons, two groups, one of four, center (marked 1,2,3, C) and one = of three, further to the right (marked E, M, F, as I recall).   I could assume that the first three are general combinations, the C a cancel, (how should they work? No stop tabs move when you press 1, 2, or = 3) But what are the strange ones marked E, M, and F?   Thanks for letting me impose on the list in order to tap your expertise.   Chuck Peery Cincinnati

(back) Subject: Re: Ssh, question about a Baldwin electronic From: "prswank" <prswank@bellatlantic.net> Date: Sat, 29 Jan 2000 11:17:18 -0500   Chuck, Are you sure the first three pistons on the left aren't marked P, M and F? My present Baldwin has five such pistons on the left side of the Great = manual where the registrations are changed from soft through loud. Mine are = marked PP, P, MF, F, and FF. This is in addition to the settable pistons in the = middle right. This would seem to be similar to your Baldwin.     Paul.     Charles E. P being "pianissomo" (sp?) for soft, and = F for forte- loud.   ----- Original Message ----- From: Charles E. (back) Subject: opinions needed..... From: "Carlo Pietroniro" <concert_organist@hotmail.com> Date: Sun, 19 Dec 1999 23:22:18 EST   Greetings everyone,   I'm thinking of learning a new piece called "Grand Fantasia on 'Joy To The World'" by Marc F. Cheban. Does anyone out there know it/play it? It looks pretty fun and I was wondering if it would be considered a concert piece. Let me know what you all think.   Carlo ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
