(back) Subject: Small pipe organs in Pittsburgh area From: Steskinner@aol.com Date: Tue, 19 Jan 1999 06:06:53 EST   Dear List:   I am consulting with a small church in the Pittsburgh area and they are interested in hearing small (4-7 rank) pipe organ. I am interested in finding one for them to visit in the northwestern quadrant (if possible) of the Pittsburgh area. Anyone know of any gems that serve a church seating 125 or so?   Steven Skinner First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant Erie, PA sskinner@erie.net

(back) Subject: Re: Happy Birthday Mr. Skinner!! From: "Jason D. Comet" <bombarde8@juno.com> Date: Sun, 17 Jan 1999 09:39:04 -0500   Th original large organ (second actual organ) was a Skinner. (Opus unkown, but can find that out) Hill Norman ans Beard enlarged and rebuilt much of the organ. The Great 8' Harpfeife, Great 8' Open Diapason from the Skinner Swell, and the Skinner Great Chest was releathered and rebuilt and is still the Great chest.   You can check out the organ (both Skinner and Hill) at the church's web site. The actual address, I don't know, but if you go to www.metacrawler.com and type in trinity episcopal church ny in the search box, it would be around the first few.   (Begging) PLEASE GO!!!!   Jason Comet Junior in High School bombarde8@juno.com Begining Driver - Get off the streets! |\ Organist/Choir Director | | 2/13 C. (back) Subject: NAMM - Photography and Recording Question From: JohnB@GCQ.net (John Balboni) Date: Tue, 19 Jan 1999 23:24:04 -0500   In my post ealier this week on the upcoming NAMM convention, I forgot to ask those of you who have attended past conventions: Do they allow camcorders and / or still cameras out on the exhibit floor? How about portable audio recording equipment at the product demos and concerts?   Thank you, John Balboni JohnB@GCQ.net
(back) Subject: Re: Edwin H. Lemare From: MickBerg@aol.com Date: Wed, 20 Jan 1999 03:20:33 EST   Dear Mr. Karras: Five years ago a friend of mine in the Isle of Wight had a collection of Lemare's personal organ music. Some of it even had Mr. Lemare's concert announcement notes written on it. I do not know if he still has the music, or what he intends to do with it. You may have to go to the IOW to look at it. If you would like, I will inform the gentleman and find out if he is interested in helping you. I'm looking forward to your recording! At least you know you have one sale! Best of luck with the project. Your timing is excellent; I was just about to ask on the list if there were any recordings of the Adagio Cantabile. Mick Berg.
