(back) Subject: Ms Bish From: Jerry <aqne@waveinter.com> Date: Mon, 08 Mar 1999 00:22:34 -0500   I have the impression every one is ok with Ms Bish. I had a thought that someone on this list must know her well, and if so should approach her to join this list. If she has a good sense of humor I think she will be well rewarded. I am slowly getting an appreciation of classical organ and she has contributed greatly. I must say some of the wit on this list is as good as it gets period. I do lurk a lot because have so little to contribute, so everyone keep cutting up, it's better than the comedy hour   Jerry Riddle

Methinks, the Divine Ms.B hath better things ta do.... um, like making bags-o-dough and putting all over the world playing neat organs and eating fantastics desserts. (not to mention picking out gowns)   > If she has a good sense of humor I think she > will be well rewarded. Of course she has a good sense of humor: she hasn't sued US yet! hehehehe   >I do lurk a lot because have so little to > contribute..... oh pooh! if you can't contribute you can ask questions!!   >... so everyone keep cutting up, it's better than > the comedy hour or you could do that, too.   bruce cornely cremona84000@webtv.net
(back) Subject: Re: Ms Bish From: Innkawgneeto@webtv.net (N Brown) Date: Mon, 8 Mar 1999 00:45:37 -0500 (EST)   Ms. Bish designs her own gowns. If I remember right, her reasoning for the fancy gowns is to provide a Visual aspect to an otherwise Aural experience. Maybe she'll do a show titled: "A Musical Journey of Pipechat". Neil

How unorganistic!!! :-)   >If I remember right, her reasoning for the fancy > gowns is to provide a Visual aspect to an > otherwise Aural experience. Evidently works. A friend of mine went to hear her play at CoralRidge and twenty minutes before the starting time could only find a seat in the back of the balcony. Sitting down next to an elderly dowager-type he said, "How wonderful that all these people come to an organ recital." The lady replied, "Yes! And she wears such beautiful gowns!"   =A0>=A0 Maybe she'll do a show titled: "A Musical > Journey of Pipechat". Uh huh! She could call it "Tip Toe Through the Loose Lips"!! ;-)   bruce cornely cremona84000@webtv.net

(back) Subject: Re: Ms Bish From: theorganist@webtv.net (William Lengyel) Date: Mon, 8 Mar 1999 02:02:43 -0500 (EST)   The first time I heard Ms Bish play was at a dedicatory recital at St. Rose of Lima (Beans) in Miami Shores, Fl. It was one of the first Rodgers with lighted drawknobs and pipes. 2 manual instrument. Partway through the recital there was a loud crash and the lights in the church dimmed for a second. Ms Bish didn't miss a note and continued. Her playing was exceptional. Later we found out the crash was caused by a platform, built by a contractor for the pedal cabinets, had collapsed and fallen on the manual cabinets. No one even knew Ms Bish played the last 25 minutes of the program with only 60% of the organ.   Bill
