(back) Subject: Concert Announcement--X-post From: <RMB10@aol.com> Date: Sat, 5 Aug 2000 08:13:59 EDT   Dear Lists-- (Purists and Tracker Backers need not read, since you wil be =   offended not only by the instrument played but the works played, also)   This is a shameless self promotion and invitation to a concert I will be playing at Montreat College, Montreat, NC. The concert will take place in = the new chapel on campus--the Chapel of the Prodigal. The chapel is gorgeous = and has some wonderful frescoes that were painted by North Carolina artist, = Ben Long. It's worth the trip just to see the artwork. The organ is a 3 man. =   Allen Renaissance R-350, given in honor of Rev. Dr. A.C. Bridges, a well known minister, organist, and hymnologist.   The concert will take place 5:00 PM Saturday, September 24, 2000, Montreat College, Chapel of the Prodigal, Montreat, NC. I will be = performing mostly Romantic works, including peices by Saint-Saens, Dupre, Mulet, = Jongen, Mendelssohn, and the "Rhumba" by Robert Elmore.   For more information, contact either myself at the above email address, or =   the College at: 1-800-622-6968.   Monty Bennett

(Mulet's "Tu = es Petra" is among my favorites!)   > This is a shameless self promotion and invitation to a concert I will > be playing at Montreat College, Montreat, NC. (back) Subject: Lorenz choir mags (X-posted) From: <quilisma@socal.rr.com> Date: Sat, 05 Aug 2000 12:26:39 -0700   Awhile back somebody found one or more boxes of old Lorenz choir mags that they were willing to part with, or at least loan for me to copy (yes, I have the licenses from Lorenz, and we pay the per-copy charge). I'm still willing to pay postage and/or a fair price for the magazines, but I forget who offered.   Lorenz?   Choir mags?   Who????         Cheers,   Bud

Seems that some on this (these?) lists just can't have enough of their own pontificating (all the while ignoring the *real* world we all live in)...and as such, TommyLee's preface to his announcement = seems perfectly fair to me.   Good for you, TommyLee, and Bob as well!! Nice to know that there are at least two other people here with a grasp on reality.   Tim

Nice to know that there are = at > least two other people here with a grasp on reality.   Gentlemen, One small correction here, if you please. I am being misrepresented here = on this thread. I did not create that original preface, but rather it was submitted by Monty Bennett. I responded to it, replying that while I am = as much a trackerbacker as anything else, I am by no means small minded about = the type of organ or the type of music, as Mr. Bennett seemed to imply might = be the case, and for that matter, you too, Tim.   Bruce, please quote from the original source the next time, since your = email reader automatically attaches the email address of the message you take = the quotes from. Your quote falsely implicated me as the author of that = bombastic remark, and as you should know by now, Bruce, I tend to agree with you. =     HAAA-RUMPFFFFFFF!!!!   TommyLee Stalking away for the evening - mumblemumblefutzmumble.....
