From: "Chris Attison" <cattison@optonline.net> Date: Mon, 4 Dec 2000 02:02:26 -0500   Hello everyone!   I am looking for some information on Wurlitzer theatre organ pipe scales. The book by Stevens Irwin unfortunatley is not helpful at all since it = only references baroque and classical pipe scales, and from what I hear, even = has errors in the information given. If anyone knows of a book, or has any information on a particular Wurlitzer organ that they work on, please pass on the info. It would be greatly appreciated!   Cheers!   Chris

From: <Innkawgneeto@webtv.net> Date: Mon, 4 Dec 2000 02:18:21 -0500 (EST)   >>"They" will take care of the minister for you.<<   To a point you are correct, but in Methodist Church the Bishop appoints pastors where he/she wants them to serve. And only for 1 year at a time.   Since I didn't read initial post, I won't comment beyond this, except to say that the Methodist structure has certain escape valves built in for their employees. The Pastor/Parish Relations committee can be an important escape valve.   I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful relationship with my pastor. We talk candidly to each other, and everyone in church knows we get along well. We don't always agree, but that's good, too.   I am also fortunate enough to know that the pastor/parish relations committee supports my work and likes what I'm doing. They have been very clear about that.   The church folk know all of this too!! And it helps me feel more comfortable about working there.   Sure beats what I worked in before. God is good.   Neil Brown, Minister of Music/Organist FUMC, Toms River, NJ USA

At least they'll know where you'll need to look, or who to ask. That'll narrow your search a great deal.   Regards,   Ron Severin

I had no idea that they actually replicated Wurlitzer pipes as well. Ill look into it. Thanks again.     ----- Original Message ----- From: <RonSeverin@aol.com> To: <pipechat@pipechat.org> Sent: Monday, December 04, 2000 2:45 AM Subject: Re: Information needed.     > Hi Chris: > > If anyone would know, Crome Organ Co. in Las Vegas NV would. > At least they'll know where you'll need to look, or who to ask. > That'll narrow your search a great deal. > > Regards, > > Ron Severin > > "Pipe Up and Be Heard!" > PipeChat: A discussion List for pipe/digital organs & related topics > HOMEPAGE : http://www.pipechat.org > List: mailto:pipechat@pipechat.org > Administration: mailto:admin@pipechat.org > Subscribe/Unsubscribe: mailto:requests@pipechat.org > >
