We will take an offering which will go toward our youth choir's summer tour.   Particulars are below.   First United Methodist Church 129 Chestnut Street (corner Old Freehold Rd) Toms River, New Jersey 08753 phone 732-349-8155   Neil Brown, Minister of Music
(back) Subject: Re: Carol Sing From: <Bobmac36@aol.com> Date: Sat, 18 Nov 2000 01:53:16 EST   Hi Neil - Haven't seen much of you on PIP-ORG lately. How is everything? =   Anything on the horizon for a new job? The hired a young kid fresh out of =   Indiana U at Highland Park Pres. I met him briefly when Fred Swann was playing in Dallas about six weeks ago. Very nice kid. He's a friend of a =   friend (who is also at Indiana, and my friend says Andrew is very = talented). There was a job open in Dallas recently but I didn't let you know because = I thought it might not appeal to you. At a Methodist church, but with a tracker (Kern - not sure of spelling - Swiss builder, I think). Perfectly =   horribly ugly - IMHO - good music program but director of music (Jody = Lindh) who is a fine musician and also an organist. Saw his wife today - they = have hired a local woman - I don't know her, but Jody's standards are high so = she must be good. Saw in the Ft Worth newsletter that there are 17 jobs open here, but none = of them worth a thing - electronics and no pay (to speak of). I wouldn't mind going to Spreckels in San Diego, but think I'm too old to look into it. Retirement isn't that far away. Hope you have a good holiday next week. I'm off to have turkey at Fred Swann's - just a three day visit, but it will be nice to get away.
