Even their smallest Renaissance models are superior to a many of the other manufacturers larger custom built organs. Also, they've been around for years with parts still available for their oldest organs. Something to keep in mind in these days of corporate mergers, bankruptcies etc.   The only wish I have for Allen is for them to build their organs more 'modular'. i.e. Provide the ability to swap one or more stops for others especially those found in their 'midi' drawer.   Ed   ----- Original Message ----- From: <quilisma@socal.rr.com> To: PipeChat <pipechat@pipechat.org> Sent: Tuesday, September 12, 2000 10:46 PM Subject: Re: Electronic Organ Quality (X-Posted)     > I'm afraid I have to second that, at least as far as Rodgers is = concerned. (back) Subject: IRC - Tomorrow From: "David Scribner" <david@blackiris.com> Date: Thu, 14 Sep 2000 20:43:29 -0500   Folks   The IRC server will be installed here in Little Rock by tomorrow night so the regular Friday night IRC session will be happening. However, there still might be some instability going on with the Domain Name System for my servers. Do make sure that you use the address of <irc.pipechat.org> to connect to the server since if for some reason you have used IP numbers they will not work. The server will be on a completely different IP number tomorrow.   If you are having any problems please email me directly at the above address (hopefully, it will be working correctly tomorrow night ) - I will keep checking mail throughout the evening while on IRC.   This is just one of the "teething" problems that are happening with this move of the servers. By Saturday at the latest everything should be stable again.   I do hope that many of you will join us tomorrow evening.   David **************************************** David Scribner Owner / Co-Administrator PipeChat   http://www.pipechat.org mailto:admin@pipechat.org
