(back) Subject: UPDATE - List and IRC Server From: "Administrator" <admin@pipechat.org> Date: Sat, 16 Sep 2000 14:16:13 -0500   Folks   Besides the list being back up and running (although most of you have been VERY quiet so there hasn't been much traffic), the IRC server has been rebuilt and is on-line.   Sorry about the problem last night but when the server arrived from Pensacola it would not start up. It turns out the hard drive died during the shipping process. I tried to get it running for at least part of the last night's session but it just didn't happen. Finally, this morning I changed it over to a new HD and reinstalled the operating system and then the IRC server software. Although, I don't have the IRC server completely configured yet, and may not get it completely set-up before I leave on Monday morning for Michigan, it will be running for Monday night's session.   The IRC server can be accessed by using <irc.pipechat.org> in your irc program or via the web interface at: http://irc.pipechat.org:8080   So with this the PipeChat list is all back to where it was before this move started.   David **************************************** David Scribner Owner / Co-Administrator PipeChat   http://www.pipechat.org mailto:admin@pipechat.org
