From: "Hugh Drogemuller" <lon.hdrogemuller@wwdc.com> Date: Sat, 15 Jan 2000 09:26:30 -0500   I would appreciate private mail on "chat" sites where I could go to get opinions on the various sound modules that are offered for MIDI = installations.   Thankyou   HD
(back) Subject: Final Princeto Chapel Recital From: <Oboe32@aol.com> Date: Sat, 15 Jan 2000 10:46:05 EST   Hey All, My good friend Robert McDermitt, the assistant chapel organist at Princeton, has informed me that this coming Sunday, January 23rd is the = last Sunday that the PU Chapel organ will be playing. The organ will be sealed = in plastic for two years as they do masonry and glass work on the chapel. If = you are interested in hearing the organ one last time before it reopens in two =   years, the recital will be at 7pm on Sunday the 23rd. It will be Robert McDermitt's final graduate degree recital featuring works by Buxtehude, = Bach, Couperin, Elgar, and Widor. There will be a reception to follow. If you're =   going....I'll see you there!   -Pete
(back) Subject: Music Request From: "Jason McGuire" <jason@johannus-norcal.com> Date: Sat, 15 Jan 2000 08:19:05 -0800   Greetings,   I am looking for a copy of a piece, I think the title is Symphonic Poem or Symphonic Tone Poem, and it's by Enrico Bossi. If anyone has a good = original they no longer want I would like to buy it. It has pedal runs just about from one end to the other.   Cheers, Jason

That name does sound familiar in that regard, at least!   DeserTBoB
(back) Subject: Magazine Collections & Music For Sale From: "Stan Guy" <texstan@earthlink.net> Date: Sat, 15 Jan 2000 16:11:10 -0700   Dear Pipechatters,   My companion of 30 years, Charles Evans, was an entertainer, radio-tv organist and teacher in Dallas for almost 50 years. He died last August and I am in the process of disposing of some of his vast music collection.   Among the things is a collection of appx 170 Theatre Organ magazines from August 1999 back to the early 60's and the Theatre Organ Bombarde days. All are in excellent condition. There is also virtually a complete collection of "The Console" from beginning to end. I will sell all of these magazines for $400.00 plus shipping. At this time I do not intend to break up the collection.   There is also a 15000 card file Tunedex....3X5 cards that are lead sheets of music that was being released or re-released. It is virtually complete, in alphabetical order and in metal file cabinets. I am asking $2500.00 plus shipping for this.   He has a wonderful collection of classical organ and piano music including all the Dupre editions from Durand....never used.....this will be placed in a memorial lending library at Church of the Holy Cross in Dallas.   He wrote thousands of lead sheets with which he taught students and used for his own performances. His manuscript is beautiful. I am currently undecided what to do with this and would like to find some archival place where it would be available if a suitable place could be found. I would love any suggestions.   Finally, there is a vast collection of sheet music. He started buying it as a teenager in the 30's and virtually any song that became popular is there in the original edition...including most WWII songs. More information about the collection is available on request.   Please send all replies concerning any of tthis off list so as not to annoy our fellow listers.   If anyone is interested in any of this, please let me know.   Best Regards,   Stan Guy Dallas
