(back) Subject: IRC Reminder From: "David Scribner" <david@blackiris.com> Date: Fri, 30 Jun 2000 16:41:22 -0500   Just a quick reminder since Bob Conway didn't post anything - PipeChat IRC will be happening both tonight and on Monday night. We hope some of you who have never joined us will try it out. It is FUN!!   For information about connecting please go to the PipeChat Web Site at: http://www.pipechat.org and click on the IRC link.   Also a reminder that even tho Lesley and Gary of Theatre Organ Times, broadcast from the Land of OZ, are getting married this weekend, actually during the time that we will be on IRC, so we can give them a toast, the program is supposed to be broadcast on Real Audio as usual. The links for the program are:   http://www.global.net.au/~duo   or http://www.rtrfm.iinet.net   We hope to see some new faces this evening.   David
(back) Subject: Baaahstun Symphony Hall =C6-S From: "Bob Scarborough" <desertbob@rglobal.net> Date: Sat, 01 Jul 2000 00:14:32   And now, for something COMPLETELY different....   I've not heard anything of late of the disposition and use of the 1949 =C6-S in Symphony Hall. I've heard this organ many times in my collection of =C6-S's house label LPs released in the '50s, and heard it in person once in the early '70s. Is there any sort of recital program going on there, or is the organ sadly moribund, another promising secular installation fallen victim to disuse by disinterested management?   Too far west to know anything Baaahstonian,   DeserTBoB
