The company has a strong commitment to quality and is always seeking to improve product lines. If any of you darlings (as Rumpole would say) would care to PRIVATELY (so as not to clutter the ListServ) email me some serious comments and descriptions of the problems that you have had with Radio Shack parts, then I'll be happy to pass them on. If you have part numbers, then that would be enormously helpful. If not, then please send as much information as you can manage about the part. Private email: marilyn@oakes.org   If, however, you'd rather gripe and complain than take a constructive course of action, then don't bother with hate mail. (back) Subject: Arthur LaMirande's MP3 clips From: "Marilyn Oakes" <marilynoakes@yahoo.com> Date: Fri, 27 Apr 2001 06:16:38 -0700 (PDT)   Listmates -   Arthur's MP3 clips are elegant and beautiful. The man can play. To access them, go to www.MP3.com, then do a key word search by LaMirande, and he pops up.   I guess I'm just too new to the list to apprehend the dynamics of the controversy. I don't have a dog in this fight. From what I've read, however, I agree with the gentleman from Australia. Some ListServers appear to have excessively delicate psychological constitutions, err, positively thin-skinned. I've worked 20 years in a world where vicious personal attacks are the norm, not the exception, and nothing Arthur said would even be a blip on the scale.   A group with which I'm familiar in my other life as a rehab counselor has a saying about keeping the focus on principles, not personalities. That's good advice in many settings, including this one. Another wisdom saying I like is that one can disagree without being disagreeable. Other favorites include: Live and let live, and, How important is it? Even, This, too, shall pass. C'mon, folks, lighten up!!   Arthur might be opinionated (what organist isn't??!), have some jagged edges (who doesn't??!) and his social skills might need some work (whose don't??!), but he is a treasure trove of historical information and a gracious, elegant player. If he would consider coming back online, then I vote him back on the Island, err, ListServ, and as Mrs. Slocomb would say, I am unanimous in this.<g>   Anybody else want Arthur back on?? I've seen a few votes already.   Marilyn T. Oakes, CRC, LPC, CLCP Certified Pain Practitioner                       =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Marilyn T. (back) Subject: A. LaMirande From: "vdbarton@pop.erols.com" <vdbarton@pop.erols.com> Date: Fri, 27 Apr 2001 11:18:44 -0400   For whatever it may be worth, I, too, cast my vote in favor of Arthur. Nothing he has ever said has offended me personal= ly, and I miss the wealth of information he so freely shares with us all.   However, I feel constrained to point out that it is really not the prerogative of the list members to intervene in matter= s like this. The list owners, not at all unreasonably, have said that they find the amount of administrative turmoil whi= ch this "problem" has created unacceptable to them. I suspect that that, ultimately, is, and will remain, the last word = on the subject. Like all good guests, we must abide by the wishes of our hosts.   -------------------------------------------------------------------- Mail2Web - Check your email from the web at http://www.mail2web.com/ .
