The only solution is to kill the enemy terrorists like the mad dogs that = they are.   Before they kill us.   The so called leaders who call for a 'holy war' are our enemies too. (England, b. 1892; d. 1983). Herbert Norman Howells' compositions for organ span the period 1911-77. A pupil of Sir Herbert Brewer at Gloucester Cathedral, he obtained the ARCO in 1912 and the FRCO = in 1916. Though listed during this period as organist of St. Mary's = Aylburton in the Forest of Dean, he had entered the RCM with a scholarship in 1912. He never held a substantive cathedral organist's post but was assistant at Salisbury for a few months in 1917 and served as acting organist at St. John's College, Cambridge during the second World War. Howells succeeded = G. Holst as musical director of St. Paul's Girls' School and he taught at London University. .... If Tournemire was the French "mystic" then surely Howells is the = English "mystic." The mood is often sombre or melancholy, the harmonies luscious, the inner rhythms complex and the difficulty of effective registration constant but this is music from the soul and well worth study. It is perhaps also music for the player rather than for the listener unless you have the stops and acoustic to do it justice.     Randy Runyon Music Director Zion Lutheran Church Hamilton, Ohio runyonr@muohio.edu

(back) Subject: Re: ISP alternatives From: <RonSeverin@aol.com> Date: Wed, 17 Oct 2001 11:34:58 EDT   Hi Jim:   AOL, Compuserve, and Time Warner are all owned by the same man, Ted Turner. I have recently upgraded to AT&T fast wireless, AOL wrapped itself around that service, I can't save my book marks, or transfer my E-mail to the new service. The E-mail worked for exactly two days and reverted back to AOL from AT&T. I was in the transfer process from several lists, and had to stop in order to keep what I had. Since my 6.0 AOL upgrade I'm greeted every morning with increased ads for buying this or that.   TED TURNER is a real swell guy! ROFLAMAO! May the man rot in you know where!   Regards,   Ron Severin   PS Our theme song should be: "We've only just begun!" :(
