(back) Subject: Which Silbermann Organ? From: "Bob Conway" <conwayb@sympatico.ca> Date: Tue, 13 Aug 2002 23:15:07 -0400   I have come across two CDs of Bach Organ works on the German Pilz label.   They are both played by Otto Winter, Silbermann organ, but they don't tell =   you which one.   The CD Nos. are Volume One: Pilz CD 160 117 P1 and Volume Two: Pilz CD 160 401   Both dated 1991   I would be pleased if any one can tell me which organ this is, and where = it is located.   Thanks,   Bob Conway
(back) Subject: Re: Hammond Registration From: "Tim" <tmbovard@earthlink.net> Date: Tue, 13 Aug 2002 22:26:26 -0400   I believe the book is titled "Dictionary of Hammond Organ Stops", by Stevens (sp?) Irwin. He also did one about pipe organ stops...<g> The book does provide reasonable explanations of the Hammond "tonal theory", = at the least. It was published in several editions, and indeed is (both are) often found for sale on eBay. Happy hunting!!   Tim   At 03:06 PM 8/13/02 -0500, you wrote: >Don't have the book, but there are almost always a number of copies >available on Ebay. >
