(back) Subject: Midi files - PSR 620 From: "Paul Austin" <paul-austin@ntlworld.com> Date: Wed, 23 Jan 2002 18:21:32 -0000   This is a multi-part message in MIME format.   ------=3D_NextPart_000_0005_01C1A43A.C8AE2940 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=3D"iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable   Dear listers,   I have a question which I hope isn't off topic, and thanks in advance =3D for any advice.   I have been downloading several midi files and was planning to run them = =3D through my Yamaha PSR - 620 keyboard. I have formatted the disc using =3D the floppy drive in the keyboard and then tried to drag and drop the =3D midi files onto a floppy on my PC, but get an error message telling me =3D that the disc is not formatted (not surprising). I have also tried =3D formatting the disc in my PC and putting the disc into my keyboard, =3D again, no joy. If I do manage to get the midi files onto the disc on a = =3D 'keyboard formatted' disc, I get the title of the file on my keyboard =3D screen, but no sound. Can anyone help before I go totally grey!!!!   Cheers,   Paul.   paul-austin@ntlworld.com or paul_austin75@hotmail.com     ------=3D_NextPart_000_0005_01C1A43A.C8AE2940 Content-Type: text/html; charset=3D"iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable   <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D3D"text/html; charset=3D3Diso-8859-1" =3D http-equiv=3D3DContent-Type> <META content=3D3D"MSHTML 5.00.2314.1000" name=3D3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3D3D"Book Antiqua">Dear listers,</FONT></DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3D3D"Book Antiqua">I have a question which I hope isn't = =3D off topic,=3D20 and thanks in advance for any advice.</FONT></DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3D3D"Book Antiqua">I have been downloading several midi = =3D files and=3D20 was planning to run them through my Yamaha PSR - 620 keyboard.&nbsp; I =3D have=3D20 formatted the disc&nbsp;using the floppy drive in the keyboard and then = =3D tried to=3D20 drag and drop the midi files onto a floppy on my PC, but get an error =3D message=3D20 telling me that the disc is not formatted (not surprising).&nbsp; I have = =3D also=3D20 tried formatting the disc in my PC and putting the disc into my =3D keyboard, again,=3D20 no joy.&nbsp; If I do manage to get the midi files onto the disc on a =3D 'keyboard=3D20 formatted' disc, I get the title of the file on my keyboard screen, but = =3D no=3D20 sound.&nbsp; Can anyone help before I&nbsp;go totally =3D grey!!!!</FONT></DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3D3D"Book Antiqua">Cheers,</FONT></DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3D3D"Book Antiqua">Paul.</FONT></DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3D3D"Book Antiqua"><A=3D20 href=3D3D"mailto:paul-austin@ntlworld.com">paul-austin@ntlworld.com</A> or = =3D <A=3D20 href=3D3D"mailto:paul_austin75@hotmail.com">paul_austin75@hotmail.com</A><B= =3D R></FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>   ------=3D_NextPart_000_0005_01C1A43A.C8AE2940--

(back) Subject: Felix Hell Concert From: <Wurlibird1@aol.com> Date: Wed, 23 Jan 2002 21:51:00 EST   Hello to all,   Pardon if I have an attitude for a while. At tonight's choir rehearsal, I =   picked up my mail at Lake Shore United Methodist Church. There was none = in my slot Sunday. Included was the following:   FELIX HELL, ORGANIST In concert, Acton United Methodist Church Sunday, January 20, 2002   Acton UMC is a leisurely one hour drive from my home!!! The postmark on = the announcement was sufficient time for its delivery BEFORE the concert. The =   only joy is learning from the annoucement that PipeDreams is now aired on = a Dallas classical FM station which I can get on internet. I feel that I = have been robbed of a tremendous opportunity to hear a great young artist who played virtually in my own back yard. The Enron probe will not compare = with tomrrow's search for answers of what happened, and why!!!   Enraged and pouting, Jim Pitts

I live in Denton which is about an hour away and missed it.   I was like the fly on the toilet seat -- totally pissed off.     --- Wurlibird1@aol.com wrote: > Hello to all, > > Pardon if I have an attitude for a while. (back) Subject: Felix Hell Concert Schedule From: "Mike Gettelman" <mike3247@earthlink.net> Date: Wed, 23 Jan 2002 23:52:32 -0500   If y'all are serious Felix Fans, then you should do like I have and go to the following link and bookmark it or copy it into a text document and save it on your desktop. It is Felix's recital schedule for 2002. He will be back in Texas at the end of March. I have the Columbus, Ohio date marked boldly on my calendar for November 10th which is as close to Cleveland as he will perform this year. I would hope that one year soon he will be invited to play at Severance Hall. I think that would be fantastic. His organ professor at Curtiss, John Weaver will play at Severance in March. I bought my ticket 6 months ago for that concert.   Here is the link to Felix's schedule for 2002 http://www.felix-hell.com/eng/recitals/recitals02.htm   Cheers Mike
