(back) Subject: Bob Griffiths From: "John Foss" <harfo32@hotmail.com> Date: Fri, 29 Mar 2002 20:09:53 +0000         Does anyone know of the whereabouts of that great American organist Bob Griffiths. He lived in England for some time during the late 60's and was = a prizewinner at the St Alban's International Organ Festival. One of the few =   recitals I have been to which had me glued to my seat and lost in another world - time stopped - was given by Bob on a 4 manual Willis organ in a church in Shepherds Bush - name forgotten - in London. He played the three =   Chorales by Franck and L'Ascension by Messiaen. I haen't been in touch = with him for about thirty years, but if he is still alive and kicking someone might know where he is. (back) Subject: Re: Bob Griffiths From: "Felix Hell" <Hell-Felix@t-online.de> Date: 29 Mar 2002 23:37 GMT     Robert Griffith is Professor of Organ at the Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, Ohio. I met him first in October 1998, when I performed on the huge IV-70-Klais at Gray Chapel of the University. In May 1999 I had the opportunity to work with Prof. Griffith in a private mastercourse of one week (16 hours intensive teaching!!), and I was very impressed about his teaching and insights, in particular concerning Cesar Franck.   Felix Hell   "John Foss" <harfo32@hotmail.com> schrieb: >=20 > Does anyone know of the whereabouts of that great American organist Bob= =20 > Griffiths.
