Organ builders with personality.   Those who knew GG (Joseph von Glatter-Gotz) will never forget him. Raconteur, brilliant engineer, fluent in, if I remember correctly, six languages. In many ways a genius. My favorite GG story is much too long to tell but for a short one, I remember well the night we met him in Ratzeburg to see his new organ there. When the Dom organist began to improvise a folk dance tune on a fractional length reed GG, who had had more than a little to drink, began dancing my wife up and down the center aisle of the church.   2. An addition to the list of great European builders.   Aubertin, housed in old Priory buildings between Besancon and Dole. Absolutely fantastique organs. Established in 1978.   Del W.
