Recently a 32' pedal bombarde of large = scale from the pipe maker of F.J. Rogers of Leeds, England has been installed. What a good time. Gary

(back) Subject: Re: aeolian-skinner + chicaleee From: <melisma@uniserve.com> Date: Tue, 15 Apr 2003 16:14:57 +0900   First, my congratulations to you both!   Second, Lee, a couple years ago two of my online friends from a tv show = fandom got married. They had met via our fandom's chat channel on IRC. She was = the daughter of missionaries to Brazil, and he is deaf - interesting couple, = but anyway... Because so many of their friends were ones they had met online = and they had never met us in person, but they wanted to share their special = day with us, they hired a professional transcriptionist to be at their wedding = with a laptop connected to IRC and to transcribe the ceremony for us. We had = two channels - one gave voice only to the transcriptionist and one or two moderators, the other was a general chat-and-cheering channel where we = could all chat together and say whatever. The moderators logged both channels, = and then they posted the log to a special website with wedding pictures and = other cool stuff - and then they presented it to the couple as a wedding = present...   So I guess what I'm saying is that such a proposal isn't as off the wall = as some of the listmembers are probably thinking. Just thought I would put my = 200 won in...   Melisma (going back to lurking here under her Rock)           quoting Chicaleee@aol.com:   > In a message dated 4/14/2003 9:05:05 PM Central Daylight Time, > ndenton@cogeco.ca writes: > > > Will the service be held live on Pipechat IRC? > > @-'-,----- > > > > Are we all invited? > > > > That would be very interesting.
