We then = moved on to wine glasses and the glass harmonica. They enjoyed the lesson, and spent many happy minutes experimenting with sound. Pipe organs are rare here, and none of them had ever seen one. They still haven't, except on = the internet and the replica Hydraulis in the museum at Dion. I couldn't = control the bottles and glasses through the MIDI though. Shame. How about this for the "amusing trick" list? Peter Cook would open a can = of potato salad, which looks precisely like - well you can guess. When nobody =   was looking he would empty it on to the street. He was dressed as a tramp, =   and when he had an audience would spoon it up and eat it. On one occasion = a policeman saw him, and was about to say something, but I understand that = it was too much for this guardian of the law who turned away and ..... (back) Subject: funny slip of the tongue From: "Amy Fleming" <docamy@alltel.net> Date: Sun, 5 Jan 2003 14:35:16 -0600   We had a funny one at council meeting after church today. We were discussing possibly being without an organist for awhile (now don't anyone get excited - we can't afford to pay much and we don't have a pipe organ). One man said we might just have to sing acapulco sometimes. We thought = that would probably sound better after a couple of margaritas!:) Amy (in the Ozarks)
