It was one of the Tales of Wonder series he used to do. =3D Later, he and David Haas gave a workshop together. When they perform = =3D their music it is absolutely captivating. Mr. Haas got a standing =3D ovation with his "Blest Are They".   The thing is, when this music is attempted on little Allen organs with =3D less than enthused musicians it changes. The same Haas song can become = =3D durge-like when not performed(led) well and very often it is only the =3D cantor that is left singing. Not every parish - in fact most parishes = =3D - do not have equipment and musicians of their caliber. In my view, =3D the bottom line is this - if the people aren't singing _we_ are doing =3D something wrong and must change. It's not that YOUR tradition is different, but that a lot of Rome's present custom is different. Your denomination may be minuscule compared to theirs, but you are in the mainstream of Western Christian use when it comes to singing hymns, while some of them are not.   Alan

They met at a Felix Hell recital in Oklahoma City, so Felix gifted them by playing for their wedding, preceded by a 40+ minute recital of = Bach=3D .. It became very much a =3DB3list=3DB2 wedding (both this one and another = organ list)=3D , with members of both lists assisting in the service as best man, preacher, crucifer, lector, ushers, etc. Bride and groom now live in Denton, Texas, and can be contacted through this list. Each is an organist of many = years=3DB9 experience; the groom is also an organ and piano maintenance person. Both are beautiful folks!   Alan
