This year's Relay is June 20-21. It's a team walking Relay, = with one member of the team on the high school track during the entire event.   The Relay for Life is a team effort to raise money for the American Cancer =   Society, which spends 85% of the money it collects to support research. = As you know, as a survivor, this is a very important cause to me, and ACS = research is keeping my chance of cancer recurrence very low.   A $10 donation pays for a "Luminaria," which is a candle in a paper bag = with the name of someone who has struggled with cancer written in it. These = can either be "In Memory" of someone who lost the fight, or "In Honor" for = those of us who are survivors. These candles will be lit after dark, all the field =   lights turned off, and a contingent of bagpipers will play "Amazing = Grace." It's a truly awesome moment.   Or you can simply sponsor me - I have a team of 8, and at least one of us will be on the track from 6 p.m. on June 20 until 9 a.m. on June 21.   Anyone who wants to participate can e-mail me money through PayPal. If = you want me to send you the form for Luminaria dedications, I have it in .pdf format so everyone can open it, and the address to which it should be sent = is on the form. Or, you can e-mail me your dedications, and I will fill out the = forms for you.   Thanks! There, a sheer levantine bargaining struggle starts. But a collector's car rental, an extravaganza decoration, a Hollywood-Superproduction like film-photo-crew, and lots of 1-A booze at = the reception are hands-on, no matter how much it costs.   "Nicht aergern, nur wundern" (don't anger but wonder) as my mom always sa= id :) Andres =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D First was the cat, then was the Orgler.
