When they moved to St. Andrew's Church, Holborn, > what became of the organ in Kensington Gore?   According to the National Pipe Organ Register http://lehuray2.csi.cam.ac.uk/npor.html it was moved to Australia. The website does not say where in Australia it went.   As you may know, the RCO is planning to move again, this time to the = former Curzon Street Station in Birmingham. This is a beautiful classical = building that was the original passenger terminus of the London & Birmingham = Railway, built in 1838. But though it has not been used for its original purpose = for a century and a half, it has somehow miraculously survived all these = years, and is now a Grade I Listed Building. For a photograph of this building, see http://www.takagi-ryo.ac/docs/id/107/lang/1/   Presumably another new organ will be built for the RCO in this location. = In view of the original use of the building as a temple of steam, perhaps = this should be a steam calliope!   John Speller
