I don't think any camps have stately pipe organs for campfire devotional time (at any time of the evening). This camp did have a very = good Estey reed organ in the lodge.   -----Original Message----- From: pipechat@pipechat.org [mailto:pipechat@pipechat.org]On Behalf Of = F. Ollikkala" <71431.2534@compuserve.com> Date: Fri, 21 Jan 2005 09:53:17 -0500   I have read this book by Jane Langton, and went on to read all of her others. She very frequently has a church in her stories, which are mysteries. She lives in Lincoln Massachusetts and most of her books are based in that area or around Boston/Cambridge. Several notable exceptions take you to Florence, Italy and Oxford, England. Her descriptive writing and her own illustrations = are impressive. She is one of my favorite authors. Her most recent one graphically depicts the Civil War era, and is one of her best. Judy Ollikkala

St. Anne "O God, Our Help in Ages Past" 3. Morgenstern "How Brightly Shines the Morning Star" 4. Easter "Christ the Lord is Risen Today" 5. Laudate Domino "O Praise ye the Lord" 6. Repton "Dear Lord and Father" 7. Divinum Mysterium" 8. Jerusalem "And did those feet" 9. "Eternal Father" 10. Rockingham   Judy Ollikkala who remembers hearing "pea stew" instead of "Peace to = Men on Earth" in "O Little Town of Bethlehem" also a favorite in both musical versions. I too thought "Hark!" was "the Harold Angel Sings"!

It belongs to St. George's Episcopal Church in Belleville, Illinois. I find it very difficult to resist calling it Toad Hall! <g> The best example of a pipe organ I know = of in a camp is the historic three-manual Ferris tracker at Round Lake in = Upper New York State.   John Speller   ----- Original Message ----- From: <tlevans95@charter.net> To: "PipeChat" <pipechat@pipechat.org> Sent: Friday, January 21, 2005 10:00 AM Subject: Re: RE: Old Chestnuts -- some of them stale     > While not really a camp, Todd hall is a kind of a Lodge in Columbia IL with about a 16 rank Wicks in its chapel. > > Travis > > > > > From: "Andrew Mead" <mead@eagle.ca> > > Date: 2005/01/21 Fri PM 02:15:20 GMT > > To: "PipeChat" <pipechat@pipechat.org> > > Subject: RE: Old Chestnuts -- some of them stale > > > > I agree.
